Cataract Falls

Monday, October 15, 2012 10:30 PM

Hello! J and I have just returned from a lovely, weeklong trip to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Asheville, N.C.

We spent most of last week doing some serious hiking, so I wore T-shirts, thrifted khakis and hiking boots. But on Friday, as we were leaving the national park, we took just a couple of short walks, including one to Cataract Falls near the Sugarlands visitors center. The shorter walks allowed me to choose somewhat less rugged clothing. I think a plaid flannel shirt is an absolute necessity for an October trip to the mountains.
