Black and Brown

Thursday, February 2, 2012 11:16 PM

It took me a really, really, really long time to get dressed this morning. I had planned an outfit with a sweater skirt I pulled from my Goodwill donations at the last moment on Sunday. But when I tried it on this morning, I didn't like it. I wanted it to work; it's cobalt blue, pleated and a sweater for your bottom half!

The problem was the length. It's a midi skirt, and while I like midis that reach a few inches past my knees, this one ends at mid-calf. Sooooo unflattering. When I thrifted the skirt last spring, it was the first midi skirt I had ever bought. I wanted to try out the midi trend, and I didn't realize they could look better on me than this one did. So now I'm going to consign, swap or donate my cobalt blue sweater skirt — set it free so some taller woman can enjoy it!
